Spoiled Rotten Baby

My little Tira is spoiled rotten! Just this week she's gotten 3 amazing new toys! First was the cutest pretend breakfast set you've ever seen. All wood with non-lead paint (yipee). It has a little tray and different food items. She loves it!

Her next toy was our biggest purchase for her yet. It was a slide/jungle gym. She LOVES it!!! When we first got it home and set it up, she was going down the slide and then run a celebration lap around the living room. She also did her happy dance (I'll have to try and get a video of it - it's stinkin' hysterical). It took a couple tries before we figured out what worked best. First of all since we living in hell - umm I mean hot and humid Bangkok and Tira is always nekid she basically just stuck to the slide and didn't go any where. LOL. Even with panties on the back of her legs stuck. We tried having her slide down a towel but setting that up each time got old really fastSo we found some old pants that didn't drag on the floor (so she wouldn't trip climbing back up the slide) and that didn't seem to work either because she didn't get the concept of picking up her feet. She'd plant her feet down and prevent herself from sliding. So the first day I ended up having to stand next to the slide and pick up her feet every time she wanted to slide down. Yahh fun and relaxing for pregnant mommy right? She's a smart cookie and realized that she needed to hold on tight and use the side bar to steady herself. We were contantly telling her to hold on and use two hands just to reinforce the safety issue. Eventually she got confident - which lead to independent and she just like to scoot herself down the slide - she would get mad when you tried to help her. She's a climbing monkey so she has tons of fun. Today she discovered sending Papa's keys down the slide and thought it was hysterical. She stood at the top of the slide and let them roll. So again I got the joy of standing there and bending down every 5 second to pick up the keys and hand them to her. Mainly because I didn't want her to attempt to climb up the slide with the keys in her hand that would've resulted in an accident. Speaking of which we only seemed to have had one so far (keeping finders crossed), she fell backwards while trying to climb up the slide and hit her back on the edge, but didn't hit her head so she was pretty much ok, more scared than anything. We're still pretty cautious and someone is always there with her when she's playing on it.

The most recent toy is her new crab-walking-stick we got yesterday. Bet you know exactly what I'm talking about from that description! She LOVED the silly thing, she spent 20 minutes pushing it around the mall (we got it at Emporium and they were set up by the escalators so not actually in the department store but on the outside) while the sales man went to get a new one from their storage unit. They couldn't find a new one so they gave us the display one for 50% off!! it was in perfect condition I just wiped it down with a Lysol wipe when we got home! ::happy dance for saving money:: Tira played with it all afternoon and didn't seem to get tired of it!
(I don't have any good pictures of her playing with the stupid thing because she moves so fast that they all end up blury).

Love the pictures. She is so adventurous! I think I had a breakfast set similar to that as a kid only mine probably had lead paint ;)
