Merry Christmas!!

Sorry about the lack of posts, I've been busy and lazy (and re-reading the Twilight books hehe). Christmas was fun and relaxing (except that both babies were sick, Grandma got food poisioning and I wasn't feeling 100% either). Tira had fun playing with her new toys. At first she didn't really care about her presents just the one that wasn't wrapped. After a few times of unwraping the gifts and figuring out that there was something fun in there she started to get more into it. Tira got a shopping cart with food, a stroller for her baby, a tea trolley from Grandma Joyce, pjs from Aunty Annie and Tai Tai, a christmas ornament from Grandma Sugar, and some other stuff I can't really think of right now. Lanna didn't get as much because she's still so small. We did the traditional Christmas wontons for breakfast. We had a late lunch/early Christmas dinner which was delicious - a pork roast with gravy and veggies, roasted potatoes, rolls, salad, apple sauce, cranberry sauce, and roasted bell peppers. Daddy called and Tira said "hi" then just smiled into the phone and Lanna complained to him about how we dumped her in her bouncy chair and wouldn't pick her up. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy:

Tira gets Jiggy Wit It

We went to the park today and they were having a street fair with performers. There was one "stage" with a dj who was pretty good and some break dancers who were pretty bad. Here's some video of Tira showing them up:

Christmas Party

Addicts! It hasn't been that long since I last posted. I guess I have no right to complain though. As so many of you have quickly surmised I managed to get my hands on an electric-not-so-legal copy (which is justified because I have a legally purchased set waiting for me in California) of the Twilight series and have done little else except read for the past week. I'm almost done in the 4 book series, just 143 pages left. However some of you seem to be getting a little impatient so here's a fix.

Yesterday I tore myself away from the books and Grandma and I took naughty face and fat fat (their most common nicknames right now) to the BAMBI Christmas Party. It was at the Rembrant Hotel. We got there early, right around 9:30, so there weren't too many people yet. It was set up very nicely with a buffet at one end, tables in the middle, a stage at the other end and games when you first entered. I was a little surprised at the how they had the tables set up, as if it were a formal dinner with nice plates, glass water goblets, and 10 different utensils for each place setting - all this for toddlers? It was a lot of work keep naughty face from destroying everything.

The games were fun but a little advance for Tira. I helped her and as long as everyone clap and cheered she was happy. Like most of the other toddlers she had the most fun running around on the stage, jumping up and down, and playing with her balloon toys. Speaking of which I must apologize to the guy at the IPC Party who gave naughty face a balloon sword instead of a girly heart or flower. When we first entered the party we were given balloons and of course Tira was looking all girly in the adorable polka dot dress that her Nani sent her
and a cute little pink clippy in her hair, so naturally she got the girly balloon. And what was the first thing she did? Go find a balloon sword and then later a balloon machine gun ::eye roll::
We had a bunch of scrumptious food and hung out with Annie and Tai and some other mommies and babies we knew. Here are the phat girls doing their pope imitation:

Then the big moment the arrival of SANTA! I had my doubts about the quality of Santa but figured these women are all farangs (white) and they know what Santa should look like. It seemed that they had spent a good deal of money of everything else so Santa should be ok. How wrong could I be. 1) his beard was falling off so you could see he was a dark skinned Thai guy, 2) he was SCRAWNY and didn't even bother to put a pillow under his shirt and 3) he wore flip flops and sunglasses. Don't even get me started on his skanky hoochie mama helper. I couldn't get any good pictures of crazy Santa because he wouldn't stop moving.

Over all it was a lot of fun. We got the most adorable pictures of the phat girls and Tira at the very end. Enjoy:

By the way I finished the books ;-)

Today Yai Yai (grandma) Moo took the babies to ToysRUs (a whole other post) and while we were at the mall I saw the words TWILIGHT out of the corner of my eye. Sure enough the movie Twilight was now showing. I nearly ran off and left my babies right then and there to buy my ticket LOL j/k. But I did go to the movies by myself this evening. It was the first time I've been out by myself since Lanna was born and yah it wasn't fun. I missed her (and Tira) and couldn't get her off my mind - even through out the movie. But that's not the point of this post.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED the movie. I can't wait to read the books, because honestly the books are always better than the movies. But alas ALL the stores here are sold out! Please someone take pity on me and send me the books! Just Kidding - kinda. It's going to be REALLY hard waiting until I get back state-side where I can borrow the book from a library. ::sigh::

My Happy Happy Babies

My grandma (gran gran) has a collection of pictures of us (me, rissa, madelynn) crying. There's just somthing so cute about a baby crying (only of course when you're not the mommy who's been listening to it for hours and hours). So to add to her collection I give you my happy happy babies:

Punk Rock Princess

My daughter is so cool! She loves to rock out to music - classical, country, rap, rock and roll - anything with a good beat. She's got the best sense of style. She loves the skateboarders and roller bladers in the park. She's just my little rock star. So it's a wonder why I never thought to do this to her before:

Her hair is actually just a little too long for the mohawk and tends to flop to either side, but it's still really cute. I plan to do this to Lanna as soon as her hair grows in a little. Hey if my kids are going to be practically bald until they're four like I was then let me at least feel like I get to do their hair with this do.
