Lutheran Redeemer School Carnival 2010

I'm trying to be good about blogging so instead crawling into my nice comfy warm bed and reading "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" here I am in the most uncomfortable computer chair EVER writing a post. See I do love you guys.

Today was Lutheran Redeemer School's Annual Carnival. Redeemer is where we go to church, where Grandpa Dave is the pastor, where Grandma Cathy is the Kindergarten teacher, and where Uncle wears a dress (his clerical robes for when he helps with communion).

Grandma Cathy was nice enough to buy the girls each a wrist band of fun-ness which allowed the girls to participate in every thing and paid for their dinner. First we played some games - toss the bean bag through the hole (Tira cheated and stood about a foot away), throw the ping-pong balls in the bowl, and a toss the football through the hula hoop. Lanna participated in none of them. She was till grumpy from being woken up from her nap. Next came a visit to Grandma Cathy's room where the bake sale was - Tira asked why Grandma Cathy had all the "junk food". Then we decorated pumpkins:

After that it was one to some food. Surprisingly the food was really good. Actually it's not that surprising whoever cooks for the church events usually does a good job. We had carne asada tacos, rice, beans, nachos and lemonade. The girls did a half way decent job of eating.

Then the best part the cotton candy. It took them a while to get it right but when they did the cotton candy came out bigger than Tira's head! Here are some pictures of the awesomeness.

I don't think they liked it at all!

After that we got Tira's face painted, did the bounce house (ie. Death Trap), and hung out a little more with Grandma Cathy.

Aside from the slight temper tantrum Tira threw when it was time to go we had a ton of fund and the girls behaved like the good little girls they are.
